Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Vivekananda Vidyabhavan ( http://www.rksmvv.ac.in/ ) is a premierGirls’ College in Kolkata dedicated to quality education and holistic development. The state-aided college has an 'A' rating by NAAC (2nd cycle, 2016) and is one of the best Humanities Colleges in the city. It is affiliated to the West Bengal State University.

As a recipient of the RUSA 2.0 Infrastructure Grant, the College is expanding with a new academic wing and a refurbished students’ canteen.
The college follows the CBCS semester system, as mandated by the UGC.It currently offers 11 Honours courses (Bengali, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Journalism and Mass Communication, Philosophy, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology) and 14 General courses (Human Rights,Mathematics and Psychology in addition to the Honours subjects) at the undergraduate level and a postgraduate course in Philosophy.
In addition to the prescribed university curriculum, the College offers a number of career-oriented courses, like an Online Preparatory Course for Public Sector Jobs; Basic Computer training for all students certified by WEBEL Spoken English and Interpersonal Skill Development Training Programme by ELTA GLOBAL and Online Net Coaching Classes . All the courses are held in the campus and are offered at subsidized rates for students of this college, past and present.
A unique feature of this College is its intensive Value Education Programme, which aims to instill a strong understanding of and respect for cultural and religious diversity and moral values in young minds. Co-curricular studies like Computer education and Spoken English and extra-curricular classes like Yoga, Sports and Dance are offered for the students. These courses, in addition to the year round co-curricular and outreach activities adopted by the students and faculty and staff, help nurture and strengthen the physical, intellectual, moral, and spiritual faculties of the students and help create self-reliant and confident individuals, with a strong sense of moral and social responsibilities.
