Our college has tied up with a number of institutions for providing employment options for the students. The scope and activities of some of them are listed below:
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)
The Youth Employability Program (YEP) is conducted by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and aims at addressing the challenge of unemployment within India over the past 10 years. The program aims at providing Free Employability Training, right opportunities and learning skills, even those from socially and economically backward families, so that they will be able to showcase their potential, join the mainstream economy, and shall have a dignified and better life. The program also supports the youth for guiding them for internal (in TCS) and external opportunities for their jobs.
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) is engaged with our college as part of its CSR initiative of Youth Employment Program (YEP), Non-Engineering.
In previous three years, 32 students have been already placed in TCS through this training programme.
Magic Bus India Foundation
Magic Bus India Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, has a livelihood program with focus placing the youth in entry level. It is working in 10 states with 41 livelihood centers. It enhances the skills of the youth, especially coming from poor families and lack opportunities, by training them on soft skills and finally provides the candidates with job opportunities, so that they have the choice and control to become economically and socially empowered. It does not charge anything from the applicants.
Our college has signed a MOU and collaborated with Magic Bus India Foundation in 2022 to initiate a course named “Skill Impact Bond (SIB)” – a Placement Oriented Training Programme. SIB is a collaborative effort of National Skill Development Corporation and esteemed global organisations. It is a 45 day Certificate Programme in Employability and Soft Skill. On successful completion of the course, Magic Bus India Foundation will assure the students of our college with a placement support.
Magic Bus India Foundation is also implementing Connect With Work (CWW) programme supported by BOMBARDIER (Global leader in Aviation) aiming to provide training and placement support for freshly graduated, job seeking students. It also aims to arrange a seminar/webinar with the job seeking students (pass out or final year student) of our college.
After completion of their training (both under SIB and CWW) students are placed in reputed companies. List of companies are as follows:
In the year 2022, 14 students have been placed in different reputed companies through the training programme provided by Magic Bus India Foundation.
Our college has arranged a two day special session (under 30 Hour Leadership and Skill Development Training Course) named “Career Counselling and Mock Interview” in collaboration with Magic Bus India Foundation on 26th and 27th June, 2023. Experts from Magic Bus India Foundation were present there and students of final semester participated in the programme. In this programme 14 and 28 final semester students are selected for SIB and CWW programme respectively. Finally 16 students were placed in different reputed companies in the year 2023.
Magic Bus India Foundation has arranged a ‘Mega Job Fair’ in collaboration with our college to help our students to get placement. On 23rd July, 2024 Magic Bus India Foundation organized a campus recruitment drive in collaboration with our college for 6th-semester students and beyond to shortlist candidates for the five employment firms participating in the drive. After final round interview many students were selected and placed in different reputed companies in the year 2024.
Also some students have started their professional life by joining the job in reputed companies after completing 45-day job oriented training and placement program organized by Magic Bus India Foundation.
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited is an Indian small finance bank based in Bangalore, which commenced operations on 1 February 2017, Ujjivan Financial Services holds an 80 percent stake in the bank. Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is licensed under Section 22 (1) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 to carry out small finance bank business and received Scheduled Bank status from the Reserve Bank of India in August 2017. This highly esteemed bank provides employment opportunities to the youth of the nation through Ujjivan Bank Employment Programme, especially they have a noble aim to uplift the economically and socially backward youth of the society and helping them to be established in their lives.
In 2022 a workshop has been arranged in our college by Ujjivan Small Finance Bank where 40 students participated and then 7 students were selected through an interview who are currently placed in different branches of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank.
Digital Concepts
Digital Concepts is a reputed digital marketing agency based at Kolkata. It has mission to provide clients with the most effective and creative Digital Marketing Solutions that keep them ahead of the competition. It is a young agency with seasoned Web, Mobile and Internet Marketing professionals.
Our college has made collaboration with Digital Concepts in 2023. A 30 hours duration “Digital Marketing Training Programme” has been provided by our college in collaboration with Digital Concepts in April 2023. This training course is an initiative to educate students in the area of Digital Marketing. This course explores the challenges of Interactive media, the online market place, and the creative challenges of communicating and retention strategies of customers through these media, the main search engines and the future trends in digital marketing.
In coming days Digital Concepts will make arrangements to select eligible students of our college and place them accordingly.
Educhange
Educhange is a social enterprise based at Kolkata. It is focusing on strategy development, program design and learning module development on children’s learning through an experiential play-based approach. There is a gradual increase in the number of English medium schools in the society as per the demand of the present society. As a result, the number of Bengali medium government schools, that are affordable by the financially weaker section of the society, is decreasing. Hence the opportunity of providing education to the children of the financially weaker section of the society is getting limited. In this situation, Educhange wants to extend a helping hand for the education of the children of those poor families. It sets educational institutes to provide content and training on multiple digital and traditional platforms to this weaker section of the society.
Our college has made collaboration with Educhange in 2023. A 30 hours duration “Strategies of Empowerment and Social Change: A Training Programme for Female Students” has been provided by our college in collaboration with Educhange. It aims at empowering students to make them self – reliant and self – sustaining individuals so that they are able to be financially independent.
In coming days Educhange will make arrangements to select eligible students of our college and place them accordingly, especially, in their educational institutes and other social jobs.
Development Connects
Development Connects is a management consulting firm based at Ranchi. They take interest in natural resource management, economic development and local self-governance. They have helped interested candidates to apply for Community Service Centers (CSC) and offer them other ‘work from home’ opportunities. Given the expanding market for such services, candidates can access long-term professional engagement opportunities. Any graduate candidate with a working computer, internet connection, and 150 sq ft area in her premises can apply to run a CSC from her residence. She can provide upto 30 necessary services to her neighbourhood. Development Connects have planned to support the opening of 40 such local ‘Community Service Centers’ in the month of January, 2022. Development Connects shall take responsibility to train, promote and create business opportunities for them. Once they start earning, Development Connects shall charge a mutually agreed upon percentage of their earning as its facilitation cost. Development Connects thus supports candidates to create their own business.

Vivekananda Institute of Values, Ramakrishna Mission, Gurugram
Vivekananda Institute of Values (VIVA) is a new institution established under the aegis of Ramakrishna Mission, Gurugram. They thrive to bring about ‘man-making’ education in India by the Value Education team of the Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, under the spiritual and pragmatic guidance of Swami Shantatmananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi. The impact of programs such as Success Formula, The Awakened Citizen Program and Awakening, led to a demand from educationists who wanted more such targeted programs for different groups of the society. The National Education Policy, 2020 also emphasized the importance of introducing values in formal education at all levels. This led to the creation of an umbrella institution under which the various value-based programs of the Ramakrishna Mission may be conceptualized and offered to the society at large.
VIVA is responsible for spreading universal and eternal human values, which form the foundation of a meaningful and truly fulfilled life. These human values are based on Swami Vivekananda’s life-giving ideas, (self-belief, strength, freedom, mastery of senses, courage, sense of one-ness etc.) which enable human beings to realize their full potential and live in harmony with themselves and others. The programs are inclusive and encourage a spirit of enquiry and search for truth.
Our students have got the opportunity to serve in their Value Education Department by awakening human values and spread them along the different constructs of society for attaining self-actualisation.
5 students are selected as ‘Value Education Trainer’ by Ramakrishna Mission. Two of them are placed in Chandigarh, one in Hyderabad, one in Varanasi and one in West Bengal.
Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Khonsa
Placement opportunities are also offered to students in different institutions through college, if vacancies are available. For example, Ramakrishna Sarada Mission has two schools at Khonsa and Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. There, posts for teachers and hostel wardens were vacant in 2022. The students of our college were sent there for an interview and 4 students were selected and appointed at the posts.
Cyber SWIFT
4 students are placed in Cyber SWIFT, which is a reputed GIS and software development and services company, after completing their course on Applied GIS and Remote Sensing.
Other Reputed Companies
The course on Applied GIS and Remote Sensing establishes a strong foundation in the subject. As a result, many of our students have pursued higher education in Geo Informatics and secured positions in various reputed companies, like, IMERIT Technology Services Pvt. Ltd., Monarch Surveyors and Engineering Consultants Pvt Ltd., CDM Smith, Facile Maven Pvt. Ltd, Innomick Technology, ESRI, India etc.
