Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell
Intellectual property is a category of property that includes intangible products of the human intellect such as inventions, literary and artistic works, symbols, names, pictures, models and industrial designs.
Intellectual property is divided into two categories:

  1. Industrial Property, which includes: inventions (patents), trademarks, industrial designs and models and geographic indications of source.
  1. Copyright, which includes: literary and artistic works, namely novels, poems, plays, films, musicals, cartoons, paintings, photographs, statues and architectural designs.

Given the importance vested in regular individual and collaborative research of both faculty and students, an IPR Cell has been duly established in Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Vivekananda Vidyabhavan.

Its objectives include:

  • To organize awareness programmes for protecting innovations, creativity and essential legal tool for protecting ideas.
  • To educate and advise faculty about the procedure of patent and copyright filing.
  • To conduct seminars/workshops on intellectual property rights to create awareness among students, teachers, and researchers.
  • To encourage new innovation/research and to provide incentives for innovation/research by granting protection to inventors/researchers which will be congenial to recover development investments and reap the benefits of their inventions/research.
  • To take steps for augmentation of the policy in furtherance of IPR or incidental thereto.
  • To promote start-up ventures in the College Campus.

IPR Committee Members:

As decided in the Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC) Meeting dated 4th July 2024, the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Vivekananda Vidyabhavan has been formed with the following members:
