HOSTEL

The college has two hostels, Brahmananda Bhavan which is a three storey hostel that can accomodate 100 students and Bharati Bhavan, a two storey hostel which can accommodate 80 students.

Both the hostels are spacious with dining halls and adequate rooms, toilets and 24 hour supply of safe drinking water. There is a reading room with library in both the hostels that can seat 60-70 and 40-45 students respectively.

We also have a computer room with access to the internet connection.

For recreational facilities there is a television set with tata sky connectivity where 80 students can sit and watch programmes. There is also a common room which is used by the students to practice dance and music. Willing students also take part in yoga class once in every week under the guidance of a certified yoga teacher.

The hostel is safe and secure with three people in charge of college security all round the year. The two hostels are looked after by one hostel superintendent each and in each floor resides at least one monastic member which makes the hostel more safe. In all 18 staff including the security staff and other helping hands stay in these quarters.

In case of medical emergencies there is a sick room on the ground floor of Bharamahmanda Bhavan with all first aid equipment. We have Dr. Dibyendu Lal Roy who is a consult physician at Nil ratan Sarkar Medical College and hospital who is always available on phone and makes a visit whenever necessary.With all the facilities, our hostel is still affordable at cost and for this reason attracts students from various districts both within and outside the state. A new hostel wing called Vidyaprana Bhavan has been added providing additional study rooms with the view to enhance student life by expanding the focused environment for academic pursuits. These spaces are designed for collaboration and quiet study, ensuring that students have the resources they need to excel.

In addition, the hostel features a handicraft training center, offering students the opportunity to explore their creative talents. This center facilitates workshops and hands-on sessions, allowing students to develop skills in various crafts. Together, these facilities promote both academic success and creative expression, enriching the overall college experience.
